Martha Trudeau, Beethoven Club Founder 1888

The Beethoven Club is celebrating the 130th anniversary of its founding in Memphis in 1888. Several of its early members including founder Ms. Martha Trudeau are buried at Elmwood. In order to remember their vision and hard work the Beethoven Club is presenting a concert in the Elmwood Cemetery Chapel. The program will include works by J.S. Bach, C.P.E. Bach, Giacomo Puccini, Jacques Ibert, and Jan Bach. Participants will be: Sabrina Laney Warren, soprano; Brian Ray, piano; Kelly Herrmann, flute; Robert Patterson, horn; Jason Oates, saxophone; Georg Hranov, horn; and Megan Carnevale, event co-ordinator.
